Just a few days before Christmas, and we’re just in time to unveil our latest crazy Christmas idea. Last year, you may recall, we created a Christmas tree out of Bam Creative business cards, this year we’ve gone one better – we’re created our own social network!

You’ll need to read all of the copy on the front page, and then watch the ‘Our Users Say’ video, before making up your mind. Do you see our subtle social commentary and message in there? What do you think? – feel free to comment below, or join the Facebook group (oh, the irony!).

After seeing The Original Social Network, will you ever visit another social network again? Have a great festive season, and remember to enjoy the company of family and friends!

Once you’ve done this, you then need to encourage three others to do the same. How? Well, by linking to their photos of course.
It seems that the secret to driving traffic to your blog, is to target other blogs visitors, and then seed your adwords campaign in a way that your ad will show on their blog.

This is possibly the funniest use of Adwords I have seen to date. Look closely at the right hand side of the above screen grab from www.problogger.net. See the ad pointing visitors to www.johnchow.com? Well, it gets even better. When you click on that ad, you get taken to www.johnchow.com, only to find another Adwords ad, as per the below graphic.

This advertisement, folks, points through to www.baron.vc. This blogger then has a post mentioning John Chow, as per the next screen grab.

Shame that there were no Adsense blocks on the main page of this blog, otherwise I may have been tempted to do something crazy using my own Adwords campaigns. Is this a pay-per-click version of the old ‘web ring’ which was very popular in the nineties?

All this talk of using shoestring budgets and what you have on hand to release your web2.0 applications, coupled with talk of the new Googleplex being tens of thousands of domestic grade equipment being used for their serving of applications made Bam Creative realise that we needed to get on board in a serious way.

So, with much feedback from our technical advisory board and the top engineers we could get our hands on, and keeping with the idealogy that we should release early and release often means that we’re finally today gone online with our own Web2.0 server farm, as shown in the image above, and these Flickr images.

Those with good eyesight should notice;

A punching bag

Internet Starter Book (published 1994)

Huge green colour swatch

Macintosh ‘No Disc’ screen

I’d like to congratulate everyone who put in a few minutes each to build our state of the art facility, and look forward to releasing our Web2.0 applications soon. We’ll be celebrating our launch with pizza and beer shortly.

I’m sorry, this blog isn’t meant to be a collection of Web2.0 Humour posts, but it just seems so easy. I’m all for Web2.0, I reckon much of it is really good, I just like to see the funny side of it (see this post and this post).

But I do have to ask, will this error screen be the future of many Web2.0 applications? :)

For those who don’t understand Web2.0, read the wikipedia entry and maybe visit TechCrunch.
