WA Web Week 2008

What a week ahead! WA Web Week promises lots of action for your inner web geek…

Monday 3rd November
No events planned, however some delegates and at least one conference presenter will be landing in WA today.

Tuesday 4th November
Kai Koenig, one of the speakers at Edge of the Web, will also be appearing at Cold Fusion User Group of WA meeting. Kai will be speaking on PDF handling in CF8. More details over at the CFUGWA site.

Another speaker, Nick Hodge, is also speaking about F# over at the Perth .NET Community of Practice - more details here.

Wednesday 5th November
Kai Koenig will also be speaking at the inaugural meeting for the Perth Flash Developers Group, between 3.30-5.30pm, at the Flying Scotsman, Mt Lawley. More details over here.

The usual monthly Port80 will be on again! This month it’ll be member-driven, with the committee MIA as they’ll be engaged in pre-conference business. Starting at 6pm, this free event will be held at The Velvet Lounge, Corner Walcott and Beaufort Streets, Mount Lawley.

Thursday 6th November
It’s Edge of the Web day! A jam-packed day of web conference. There are tickets still available, head over to the EOTW website.

That evening, WebJam9 will be filling the University of WA Tavern with geeks and goodness. You need to register for this free event over at the WebJam website.

Friday 7th November
There are four half-day Edge of the Web Workshops being held (see here for details) during the day.

That evening, the night of nights for WA web industry is here again! The WA Web Awards will be a great closing event for the conference, and an inspiring night for all. See more details over at the WAWA website.

Saturday 8th November
Those crazy cats at PTUB (Perth Twitter Underground Brigade) are taking this opportunity to throw an afternoon wine cruise through the Swan Valley. More details over at the PTUB Blog.

Sunday 9th November
It’s a wrap! Most interstate delegates and conference speakers will be making their way out of WA today, whilst the rest of us nurse our bodies back to health after a full on week….
