The Web Directions Photo Meme

With exactly a month remaining before Web Directions South 2007 starts, I thought I’d have some fun on the fact that there’s always seemingly more cameras than actual people at these conferences, by starting a fun photo meme…

The object of this meme is to browse Flickr for photographic evidence that you’ve been to previous years of Web Directions, and link to as many of these offending images as you can.

The funnier (or dodgier) the photo, the better.

Once you’ve done this, you then need to encourage three others to do the same. How? Well, by linking to their photos of course. Sorry fellow West Coast Bloggers, Myles, Nick and Kay, I hope you’ll play?

[...] In recognition of the Awesomeness of Web Directions South, Miles has challenged previous attendees to find and and link to evidence of ourselves enjoying previous years. I challenge Rosemary, Gary and John. Technorati Tags: web directions, wd07, port80 [...]

[...] Miles Burke started the flickr meme for Web Directions South (which is about to close its Early Bird Pricing… so get in quick!). And now with the program out, we are planning a secret cloning project for the WebHatch Day. [...]

[...] So Miles has tagged me with Web Directions Photo Meme to celebrate less than a month to go to Web Directions South 2007, that there are more digital cameras than people attending these events and to prove that I actually attended in the past and had a very good time doing so as well as a slightly cool, crazy and sometimes schmoozy time. [...]

[...] Miles Burke issued the challenge to find photos you of enjoying yourself at the previous Web Directions Events. I wasn’t invited to play the game yet, but since I’m sadly not going to WDS this year, I’m going to do a half-assed job of inviting myself to play. If you have the opportunity to attend Web Directions, I highly recommend it. Also, tickets are discounted if you get in before August 31st. Anyway, you can witness the fun and mischief I had outside of official public WDS events. But I was there at the conference events too. [...]

[...] In my last post I invited myself to Miles Burke’s party and took up his Web Directions South photo meme challenge. Gary has informed me that one of my challenges to a Clayton’s blogger has been rendered invalid. At some point between me writing the post yesterday evening, and actually remembering to publish it this morning, Ben Winter-Giles wrote a post (how rude of him to sneak in!) [...]

[...] With only 12 sleeps until Web Directions South 2007 (or less if you count the cool workshops!), it’s only appropriate that I get into gear and do the flickr meme started by Miles Burke. I was tagged by Gary some time ago but have been way too flat out to find the time to do this interesting meme. [...]
