More pixels than you can poke a stick at
For the last year or so, a number of people have said to me ‘how do you survive with just one monitor?’. I used to laugh, thinking why on earth would you have more than one (one of the guys here has three!) - until now.
That’s right, I’m now a convert to the ‘more pixels on my desk’ cult. Recently upgrading to a new PC, and installing Vista, I decided not only did I need surround sound with sub-woofer, but I also needed at least 2,950 pixels in width.
I mean, who doesn’t need all of those pixels, when reading and replying to emails, writing Word documents and surfing the web? The sound helps too!

Miles - I’m sure you do a lot more than emails and Word docs :-)
At any one time I have anywhere from 5 to 20 windows open, including multiple Explorer sessions, several browsers not including tabs, Photoshop, Word, Excel, email, Acrobat, a text editor.
My alt tab reflexes are on par with my Quake 4 strafing skillz.

Yes, most of the Bam staff are dual monitor. Well, everyone who wanted to be. I was the last to get it. :)

Do you use UltraMon to handle apps between windows? I do and it’s great!
I don’t know where I’d be without my 2nd monitor.
