Who needs IE7.0 anyway?
In a similar vein to Myles’ mention of his internet banking experience a while ago, I have a good story too.
Looks like the crazy gang over at my favourite bank have decided to pull an early April Fools Day stunt on the 25% of web surfers using Internet Explorer 7.0 (such as myself at the office), and throw a warning screen if you try to log into their Internet Banking.
They handily offer links for me to download the latest versions of Netscape Navigator, Internet Explorer or Firefox and suggest if I don’t upgrade, I ‘may experience decreased performance’. I keep returning to the Microsoft site to look for my ‘upgrade’, however I can’t seem to find it.
In other news, a revamp of the West Coast Bloggers website has just happened. Hope you like it.

One of the reasons I’m closing my account with NAB is because of their Internet Banking. I’m sick of it. It’s been through about a half dozen iterations since I joined NAB back in … well, whenever - and although a preliminary assessment might show it works as expected, after using it for several years all I have to offer in feedback is rants about unreliability. When we’re dealing with Internet Banking I don’t want even a hint of unreliability - yet I’ve had more than a hint on too many occasions.
So that and the fact they don’t offer Visa Debit products is the reason I’m moving my remaining accounts to ANZ :-)

Oh and the redesigns - when they redesign the site and say “Based on what our users want, we’ve redesigned the site …”
Makes me feel great that in the past 6 years they’ve never bothered to ask me what I think … I feel valued.
