		<description>One thing which is still not understood, is that US based sites like Expedia , Hotels.com and Travelocity are not competitive in overseas markets, such as Sydney, Australia, due to the administration and negotiation of contracts .

Likeswise, Europe is extremely fragmented due to the number of hotels which are not part of a chain, and language differentials.</description>

		<description>I have heard murmurs of preference being given to rooms booked direct through the hotel or the hotel's website - so the best available rooms will go to those who booked direct, and worst rooms to those who booked through an agency (particularly the last-minute discount sites).</description>
