Hey, thanks Krissy, Gary & Steven, I'll be sure to check those places out. Maybe we just need to spend a night at each place, and call it a sampler? Haha!

There are quite a few which I can recommend Miles
1. Riverview Hotel, Havelock Road (http://www.riverview.com.sg/)

2. Royal Plaza on Scotts, Scotts Road - near Orchard (http://www.royalplaza.com.sg/)

3. Phoenix Hotel, Orchard Road - Somerset MRT (http://www.hotelphoenixsingapore.com/)

You can also check on Pan Pacific, Carlton, Marina Mandarin or Fullerton (this one is definitely the best around)

Rendezvous Hotel (Bras Basah Rd) is closer to Raffles Area rather than Orchard, good location though.

You have to do the mid year or christmas sales, they are to die for. Must have stayed in about ten or so hotels in Singapore over the years. After a while they all seem the same, yes you are over researching...

God, I love Singapore and I am loving Tiger Airways. Whenever I (or any member of my family) go we stay at either the Rendezvous or the Marriot. Hope you guys have lots of fun and you do lots of shopping!
