Western Australian Bloggers

Like everyone, I like to read a regular list of blogs. In fact, I am rather fond of reading local blogs as well, it makes me feel I am supporting the local blogging scene, if there is such a scene.
Anyone who has read my blog for a while, would probably have heard about the West Coast Bloggers project - a bunch of web designers and developers all from Perth who blog and regularly meet up at Port 80 events.
Then there’s a plethora of other quality local bloggers who don’t really fit that narrow niche of writing, and either don’t write about the web, or have more non-web writing than the ones found on westcoastbloggers.com.
Amongst those, we’ve got the female bloggers, with my wife’s blog My Way or the Highway. Then there’s Rosemary Lynch, Krissy Bradfield, Karen Cheng and Natalija Brunovs.
On delicious edible or drinkable things, we’ve got Peter at Margaret River Blog, Max with yum.org.au and Matt at Abstract Gourmet.
On media, there’s Not the West, Graeme Watson’s blog and Spice Magazine’s own Anthony with Man that Cooks.
My father has a literary blog, my designer / photographer mate, Simon Wright has a more image packed blog and then even famous WA larrikin, Kevin Bloody Wilson has a blog.
Then for the fashionable types, there is the STYLEAID blog, and those dreaming of moving interstate can catch up with Michael Efford’s blog, or if you dream of moving overseas, read Graeme Sutherland’s blog.
After all of that, if you are still yearning for more blogs to read, check out locally produced AustralianBlogs.com.au or hit Technorati.

Hey Miles,
Thanks for the plug. I’d love to hear your thoughts on our latest project, News2.0 (www.news2.com.au).
Just launched RSS saved searches today :)
Cheers,

Hey Miles!
There’s sooo many isn’t there! Now through your links I’ve just found some more! Seriously I discover on average about 5 new Perth blogs a week these last couple of weeks!
Because of your post I’ve finally got my act together, and (sort of) fixed up my links page. I’ve now got the bloglines feed for my Perth blogs feeds in there. I still have to get the old wordpress links system back in, but can’t get it to work with my new theme yet!
Btw, your wife’s blog looks really nice! I think she should blog more often ;)
But then so should I, instead of trying to read all of them!
seeya,
Simone
p.s. last minute, but there’s a weblogger meetup in Northbridge tomorrow, for those people reading this who don’t know! :-) http://blog.meetup.com/14/events/4939887/
