we05 Day One

Douglas Bowman\'s talk

Wow, what a day. We were at UTS by about 8.00am, and spent the day listening to some great presentations. Kay chaired two sessions, we had a fire evacuation, I had Molly and Kelly Goto sign my books, we drank and drank and then the Perth contingent, Adrian, Kay, Nick and I (Kara was AWOL) hit the city, in search of Woodfired Pizza.

You’d think we’d have had enough, but then we hit a pub in Chinatown and watched some very bad Karaoke…

Favourite presentation of the day? Douglas Bowman’s ‘Zooming out of the Trenches’ (pictured), a look into what the future lies in store.

Favourite moment? An entire fire evacuation, which was mentioned the previous days briefing as ‘in a highly unlikely event…’. Onya John for jinxing us!

Nice to meet you Miles though only for a very short time. Hope we get to catch up soon. It has been difficult being one on one on the social front given that I was constantly shooting, which was loads of fun too!

Hi Amit, thanks so much for the very talented photography – I am spending way too much time looking through your we05 images, they are excellent.

I agree – nice to meet you, thansk for the tip on the Opera House reflection pic, shame I didn’t get a chance to steal, I mean borrow, it before returning home to Perth. :)
